Deputy for hydropower plants of Iran Water Resources Management Company undertakes the supervising and leading the operation of more than 9000 MW installed capacity, and also, supervising optimal performance of the projects under implementation with 5000 MW capacity and planning and supervising the activities of about 16000 MW capacity under study, totally with potential of 30000 MW capacity. The share of small hydropower plants (1 KW-10 MW) is about 674 MW including 45 MW under operation, 47 MW under construction and 582 MW under study and ready for investment.

With regard to small hydropower plants as an outstanding potential to generate power and reduce environmental problems has been considered as an infinite energy supply resource for developing lands and job-making in world energy market, this company announces its readiness to cooperate with Venezuela in the field of design, construction, installation and operation of small hydropower plants. This company also will cooperate in holding specialized training courses for technical staff of this hydropower plants in Iran or Venezuela around mentioned issues as well as supplying and constructing plants equipments.
